The Book Club of California encourages Student Members with an
interest in Pacific Coast history, literature, and fine printing. Membership involves
no responsibilities beyond the payment of the annual dues.
Student members receive the Quarterly News-Letter and
notification of exhibits, public programs, and new books. Student members have
the privilege, but not the obligation, of buying Club publications,
books and copies of Keepsakes,
and extra copies of News-Letters, when available. Membership dues, less
$10 and donations, including books, are deductible in accordance with the Internal
Revenue Code.
Club members may submit nominations for the Oscar
Lewis Awards, which are given for achievement in Western History and
the Book Arts.
Club membership is open to all who are in sympathy with its aims,
and whose applications are approved by the Board of Directors. Membership involves
no responsibilities beyond the payment of the annual dues, with proof of student
status, of $25 per year. Annual dues date from the month of the member's election.
Those students who wish to participate in the Club's activities,
or would like more information about them, are cordially invited to communicate
with the Membership Secretary at the telephone numbers or email address on the Home Page.
